JW Marriott Kolkata is set to host an unforgettable two-night culinary and mixology experience in partnership with Dean With Us, spotlighting Vietnam’s leading talents in food and beverage. On August 8th and 9th, 2025, the hotel will transform into a vibrant celebration of Vietnamese craftsmanship, culture, and cuisine, featuring Chef Nhan Ngo and Thep Dinh & Huy Ngo-three of Vietnam’s most acclaimed culinary and mixology artisans.

This exclusive collaboration with Dean With Us founded by the dynamic duo, Akanksha and Rupali Dean-renowned across Asia for curating cross-cultural F&B showcases (and merge their profound expertise in food writing, culinary arts, global travel, and event curation)—marks a rare opportunity for Kolkata’s discerning diners and cocktail lovers to experience a slice of Saigon’s progressive dining and bar culture.

Step inside Stir - Modern Classic Cocktail, and you’ll immediately feel it—the heady hum of alchemy, where tradition flirts with innovation and every drink feels like a story unfolding on your palate. This Saigon gem has steadily made waves, landing on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list four years in a row (cue the applause for their recent No.61 ranking in 2025). But behind every brilliant cocktail is a team that’s rewriting Vietnam’s playbook on liquid artistry. 

At the helm? The ‘maestro’ himself, Thep Dinh. As World Class Vietnam Champion 2019 and co-founder of Savour Cocktail Club, Thep is a virtuoso in cocktail crafting, juggling modern classics with avant-garde twists like a performer in a liquid circus. His partner in culinary crime, Head Chef Nhan Ngo, orchestrates a menu that reads like a love letter to Asian cuisine-Vietnamese fusion with a Japanese undercurrent, packed with zingy flavour bombs and impeccable vegetarian delights. 

 

Throw in Senior Bartender Huy Ngo, who’s been cracking top 10 lists faster than you can say ‘Flor de Caña’, and Stir becomes more than a bar—it’s a movement. Guests on 8th August can expect an elegant Vietnamese menu at Vintage Asia reflecting Chef Nhan’s culinary journey across Vietnam-from the street food of Saigon to the refined flavours of Hoi An and Phu Quoc—paired with creative cocktails by Thep Dinh. The following evening on 9th August, Thep will take over 2:59 The Bar with a curated selection of drinks, rooted in classic techniques and infused with bold Vietnamese personality.
