Four Seasons Resort, Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah, Jumeirah 2
As Dubai Mall is to shopping, Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah Beach is to hotels: a Dubai icon
and the perfect haven for vacationers and locals alike wholl rejoice in its modified traditions
accurate down to the afternoon tea. The elegant Shai Salon, where one takes tea, frames
pastels with elegant flower arrangements edging and chandeliers. The section of sweets far
outweighs the savouries here, so if you have a sweet tooth, you are in for a treat. The show- stoppers here are the delightful pastries by accolade winning pastry chef Nicolas Lambert that ranges from a delicious raspberry and rosewater cake to a pleasantly sharp cherry clair. The setting for afternoon tea is sumptuous and gracious.
The tea stand comes with a delicate range of little finger sandwiches that are vibrant and
well-presented. Keeping things old-style, a flaky plain scone and a sweet raisin rendition are
encompassed on the stand, that comes with a serving of strawberry jam, clotted cream and
lemon curd. Theres also a double decker Victoria sponge slice sheathed in white chocolate
for a little decadence, chocolate and date offerings a fruit tart and strawberry macarons.
The portion size of a stand is just enough for one, and with some revitalising tea blends try the honey-sweet and aromatic Ceylon tea youll end the afternoon completely appeased.
