Kathmandu- Hotel Annapurna held its annual Art Competition on the occasion of the World Environment Day on Saturday, the 9th of June. The annual event welcomed the children of their hotel staff to participate to create awareness and understanding the importance of protecting the environment.

The competition provides a great platform for the children to conveniently acknowledge and protect the environment around them. The competitors are placed in age groups of 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are awarded to children from each age group.
Participants were judged by two artists from Shrijana Arts College along with the four title holders of Miss Nepal 2018.
Hotel Annapurna has also carried out numerous Eco-friendly schemes in the past. One such schemes being the discouragement of the use of plastic bags. The hotel also organized a cleaning program around the Durbar Marg area on the day of the World Environment Day, June 5th.
Their sister hotels in Pokhara, Jagatpur and Chitwan also conducted various cleaning and plantation programs.
