Kathmandu� Hotel Yak & Yeti organized its annual Gingerbread House Decoration amid various invited guests and the hotel staff who took part in the fun-filled event to mark the beginning of the hotel�s Christmas celebrations.
Hotel Yak & Yeti celebrated the beginning of the festive season by putting up a giant Christmas tree in the hotel�s lobby decorated with the wishes of the under privileged children. The hotel has collected the wishes from the children at Nepal Children�s Home (Bal Mandir) and put those wishes up along with their names and photographs on the Christmas tree. The hotel believes that Christmas is the right occasion to make children feel special.
Guests and hotel staff are encouraged to contribute the gifts for the children which will be distributed in a special Christmas event organized by the hotel on 25 Dec 2018.
Although still very new in Nepal, the tradition of decorating gingerbread houses has been followed worldwide for generations. Gingerbread houses originated in Germany during the 16th century and has been a Christmas tradition ever since.
Hotel Yak & Yeti has also organized a special Christmas Eve dinner on the 24th of December at The Chimney and The Sunrise Restaurant.
