Steamboat Buffet at The Buffet, M Hotel, Singapore

Buffet at the M hotel is the first ever Halal Chinese style Seafood Steamboat buffet restaurant in the bustling city centre of Singapore. This fantastic eatery is a combination of tasteful lighting and elegant dcor and aims at only serving the freshest of ingredients to its customers. Unlike every other hot - pot restaurant, the diners have an option to cherry-pick from a variety of delectable broth (MSG -free) bases.  An absolute must try is the Spicy Thai Tom Yum soup base, it truly adds an extra punch to your meal. The interiors here are swanky and lively and the service here is nothing short of top-class. You can choose up to two broths at one time and can also mix and match them according to your liking. The half and half are always a good idea. When we talk about the excellent counter spread, it features a wide range of raw ingredients to choose from, like fish maw, lobster balls, mud crab, flower crab, pacific white clams, New Zealand black mussels, sotong balls, snapper fillet, red leg prawns you name the type of seafood and you will find it out here. What I love the most about steamboat restaurants are that you can then cook the latter on your table, which makes the overall dining experience much more sociable and fun. I would suggest visiting this eatery in a larger group, because then you will be able to try out more items from this scrumptious feast. There a quite a number of premium ingredients that are a part of this lavish buffet so do remember to keep an eye on the refills, because they tend to run out pretty fast. Apart from the seafood it also has an excellent selection of noodles, green vegetables, mushrooms (which include the likes of enoki, shiitake, shimeji and oyster), handmade young tau foo as well as other types of quality meats. The live prawn station is something to look out for too, which dish out steaming hot herbal prawns, the light herbal broth brings out the sweetness of the succulent prawn meat. Chef Bozs concoction of house dipping sauces and handmade pastes is what makes this suppertime worthwhile. To end your meal there is a delightful assortment of Nyonya Kueh, fruit and marshmallow skewers with chocolate fondue, macarons and the signature durian king cookie crumble cream puff.
