For the very first time, Aloft Kathmandu Thamel, managed by Shanti Hospitality Management Services hosted its first food festival bringing forward the �Flavours of Kashmir� featuring some of the best foods Kashmir has to offer. The bespoke menu was prepared especially for the Kathmandu winter by Indian Celebrity Chef Sanjay Raina, the undisputed Ambassador to Kashmiri Cuisine around the world.
The �Flavours of Kashmir� was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, the Ambassador of India to Nepal, at an exclusive reception dinner for Kathmandu�s diplomatic and business community. Following the inauguration, guests were given a glimpse of Kashmir�s rich heritage with a cultural performance by the Indian Embassy�s Swami Vivekanand Cultural Center.
�Flavours of Kashmir� will be a showcase of Kashmiri cuisine, with each of the dishes being curated from Chef Raina�s extensive menu of authentic offerings handpicked to offer the comfort of some old favorites and the excitement of some new. All menu items will be laboriously and carefully prepared by Chef Sanjay Raina and Aloft Kathmandu Thamel�s Executive Chef Shailendra Singh, and their respective teams.

Aiming to showcase Kashmiri culture via its cuisine, Executive Chef Shailendra Singh has worked with Chef Raina to develop a bespoke culinary menu for those who want to experience exotic gourmet dishes, flying Chef Raina and his team in from New Delhi especially for the event.
