Kathmandu, 1st June: Food Mela 2018, organized by Fanatics ad and event management was announced today at a press meet held at Opium restaurant and bar.
The 3 day event is being held at Bhrikutimandap from the 22nd � 24th�of June. The event is being hosted by the students of the Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management who also took up the initiative to come forward with this idea.
The goal of this event is to promote the food culture and the local manufacturers in the country.

The event also hopes to provide a platform for emerging restaurants to promote their business and encourage direct interactions between them and the suppliers.
Up to 60 different stalls will be present over the course of the event. Besides the food stalls, musical performances by Girish Khatiwada, Rohit John Chettri, Swoopna Suman among many others will be available for the people to enjoy.
Sustainable waste management is also on the agenda as all recyclable items will be managed by Doko Recycles to produce recycled items.
The entry fee for the event is Rs.100 per person.
