Kathmandu� On the occasion of World Environment Day, Hotel Annapurna held its annual art competition for the children of the Hotel�s employees on 1 June, 2019.
This competition has been organized on a yearly basis since 2000 and aims to provide a platform for the children to demonstrate their understanding of the environment through illustrations.
Through this initiative, Hotel Annapurna also hopes to create awareness in society about the importance of protecting the environment.
Miss Nepal 2019 team were present at the event, which was judged by two artists from the Srijana College of Fine Arts.
Annapurna has always been spreading awareness about conserving the environment and its rapid degradation. Over the years, the hotel has carried out multiple eco-friendly schemes under the slogan, �Be Green! Go Green! Do Green!�
Likewise, the hotel has announced a cleanup program on 5 June, World Environment Day, where employees of the hotel will gather to clean the areas from Kantipath to Bhrikuti Mandap.
Hotel Annapurna�s subsidiary hotels, Fish Tail Lodge in Pokhara and Jagatpur Lodge in Chitwan will also be implementing similar programs to mark the occasion.
