Just days before Visit Nepal Year kicks off, Nepal Tourism Board finds itself with a vacant CEO seat after the former CEO Deepak Raj Joshis term ended on December 24.
Nepal Tourism Board had proposed to extend the duration of Joshis term by a couple of months but Joshi refused as he would not be able to reapply for the position again.
There are noticeable concerns as the countrys tourism board has no CEO going into Visit Nepal Year 2020. Any implications the vacant position will have on the tourism remains to be seen.
A three-member search committee led by Biplab Paudel, executive director of Hotel Barahi, Pokhara, has been formed to fill the vacant CEO spot.
