Sydney� Over 40 Nepalese Chefs and engaged community members came together to celebrate the sharing of ideas with the theme �Defining the Future of Nepalese Food� at the Nepalese Chefs Meet 2019 organized in Sydney on the 18th of February, 2019
The meet was organised by Two Tables Australia in partnership with Experience Nepal campaign of Nepal Tourism Board which featured prominent figures from the Nepal�s hospitality industry like Dr. Narayan Pradhan, Padam Shakya, Karna Shakya among others
In a two-hour reflection session, the attendees unanimously expressed their excitement, joy and were inspired by what they experienced at the meet.
�Our goal is to bring ideas among chefs to the Nepalese food, restaurant and hospitality and its promotion in Australian market in a different way, and support Visit Nepal 2020 with establishment of food tourism in Nepal,� said Two Tables co-founder, Chef Suraj Pradhan who is traveling to Nepal in May for World Food Travel Association�s Asia�s first summit FoodTreX Kathmandu. �Nepalese Chefs Meet was inspired by the Experience Nepal campaign and its aim for support of culture & cuisine movement�, added Pradhan, who is also a certified Ambassador of World Food Travel Association
Chef Sishir Kandel, a team member of Two Tables, stressed how important chefs are for promoting Nepal, and how it impacts Nepal�s local economy, tourism and culture.
