Plantec Coffee Estate Pvt. Ltd.[/caption] Situated at the foothills of the Ganesh Himal mountain range, Plantec Coffee has been making a name for itself producing quality coffee for the local and international market alike. Founded with an aim to grow and produce the highest quality of Arabica beans, Plantec Coffee has been delivering on its promise ever since 1996. Spread out across 172 acres of land, our plantation is situated just 75km north of the capital. The plantation is fueled by the snow-fed waters of the Ganesh Himal mountain range and organic and natural compost that are readily available to us through cattle and other livestock. Arabica coffee beans are known around the world as one of the best coffee beans and this is what gives our various coffee products its unique taste. Our organically grown coffee has been 0thoroughly consistent over the years and has been positively accepted by coffee lovers worldwide. Plantec Coffee imports its coffee seeds from the island nation of Papua New Guinea and is brought here to grow and produce some of the finest coffee beans in the country. Originally, Plantec Coffee started out with producing only green coffee beans during its early years but has been producing coffee products of all variations for quite some time now. Our beans are carefully shade grown to perfection meaning they grow more slowly than usual but as a result they taste significantly better than most other coffee products. Our shade grown process is also very carbon friendly.Since its foundation, employment figuresespecially amongst female workersin the local community have greatly increased with the local people and our Plantec team working hand in hand to deliver our customers the best of coffee products. Our products are shade grown, washed (wet processed with Himalayan snow-fed glacier water), Sun dried, hand sorted and are also certified annually as organic products by the European Organic Standards and the USDA Organics for the past 12 years. A copy of all our organic certifications are sent to our buyers. All of our products are sun-dried and fully washed before they are sent to be roasted. Our beans are machine roasted by gas and electric methods. The final products are manually sorted and cleaned to ensure all the beans meet our standards. Our main export product is the Mount Everest Supreme which is quite popular amongst the countries it is exported in. We also supply green coffee beans to countries abroad. Our chief local product is the Jalpa Gold which available throughout the country and chances are that you might just be drinking it in your favorite coffee shop. Sixty percent of our products are exported to cities like Hamburg, Basel, Trieste, Melbourne, Sydney, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and Seoul. The remaining forty percent is sold and available across Nepal. Positive reforestation, soil conservation, wildlife conservation are some of the things that we have been able to achieve along with the production of coffee. The plantation site has also seen a huge increase in the migratory and non-migratory bird population, something that has been on the decline in the country for quite some time. Presently, around 150,000 kilograms of coffee products are produced yearly but Plantec coffee is working towards increasing those numbers in the near future. Our harvesting season starts at end of November & we are ready for export by February/ March. We are currently exporting our products on the basis of airfreight via Kathmandu International Airport but can also arrange sea freight via Calcutta Port in India.
