The 2016 Cotes- du- Rhone was Superb wine from mostly Syrah Grapes, blended from vineyards in Vinsobres and the Gard. Sight/ Appearance A clear wine on sight with medium plus intensity. Nice ruby color with decent purple hues, layered texture. Nose Clean on the nose with medium plus intensity. Lovely floral and peppery aromas along with Chocolate, ripe Black Fruits and Licorice. Palate It is a dry wine with medium plus acidity and medium tannin. A very nice medium to full bodied wine with medium plus intensity. Spicy notes of star anise, cloves, white pepper and black pepper. Finish This wine has a medium and soft finish. A very good wine which can be drunk now or if you wish, you can keep it further for few more years, may be 5-6 years more.
