Kathmandu� Soaltee Crowne Plaza�s signature Indian restaurant, Kakori, is organizing the much awaited Kerala Food Festival to celebrate the flavorsome Kerala cuisine. The food festival welcomes all food lovers to taste the authentic flavors of Kerala. The event will run through from March 11-24. His Excellency Shri Majeev Singh Puri, Ambassador of India to Nepal, inaugurated the event which featured the famous Kathakali dance�performed by various artists.   The menu is being specially crafted by the guest Chef from India, Rejimon PS who is the Sr. Chef de partie at Crowne Plaza Kochi along with the Soaltee Crowne Plaza's Executive Chef, Yubaraj Pokharel, who will be leading the culinary team to create scrumptious Kerala style dishes. A variety of mouth-watering dishes like Koon Ada, Kappa Chemmeen cutlet, Attin Noolappam soup, Seafood Savala roast, Kozhi Olan, Kaya Konjukizhi, Malliyila Manga Choru and more are available for the guests throughout the two-week event. Dishes like Kanthari Chicken, Chemmeen Ilayappam Aleppy Fish Curry, Suriyani Kozhipidi, Kochulli Koon Theeyal are signature delicacies from the region and are specially recommended by the chefs. The cuisine boasts the use of coconut cream and milk for thickening and�flavoring purposes while spices are used temper the flavor of the dishes. The menu has fine selections of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with varieties of seafood, mutton, chicken curries and gravies. All the dishes are available in an � la carte menu for dinner services from 7pm to 10.45 pm.   The food festival intends to capture the essence of popular dishes in Kerala otherwise known as the �Land of Spices�.
