Stag�s Leap Wine Cellars is considered one of Napa Valley�s first-growths. It was founded by Warren Winiarski and his family in 1970. This is nice balanced wine with lot of fruity aromas with a good kick of oak and subtle buttery notes. Sight/ Appearance This chardonnay looks clear on appearance with golden hues. Medium intensity can be observed. Nose The wine is clean on the nose with medium intensity. The aroma has lot of ripe melon aromas. Some buttery feel with vegetal aromas can also be found. Palate It is a dry wine with medium plus acidity. The alcohol is also on the medium plus side. This is a medium plus bodied wine with citrus, apricot and buttery flavor. Flavor intensity is also on slight higher side. It has a true chardonnay character with buttery, creamy and oak flavors on high notes. Finish The finish is medium plus in length. This wine is ready to drink and can also be aged. Overall, this is a real good wine to savor.
